Rastriya Banijya Bank earned Rs. 1 Arab, while Nepal Bank earned Rs.15 Crore — Rastriya Banijya Bank has emerged as the highest earning bank in the first two months of the current fiscal year and Nepal Bank as the lowest earning bank in the comparision with RBB.
According to NRB, Rastriya Banijya Bank has earned a profit of Rs 1.68 billion in the last two months. Global IME Bank is seen as the second most profitable bank with a profit of Rs 985.2 million in a period of two months. Commercial banks have earned a profit of Rs. 13.66 billion in the first two months of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Nabil Bank earned Rs 934.51 million and NIC Asia Bank earned Rs 816.1 million during the period. This is the figure for mid-August. Nepal Bank is among the lowest earners.
Nepal Bank has earned a profit of Rs. 159.4 million. Civil Bank is the second lowest profitable bank with a profit of Rs 193.7 million.
